The vineyard is situated on the south side of Chřiby and is protected against cold north winds. The slope is west-facing, relatively windy. The soils retain heat and often suffer from drought. The soil in the vineyard is modal brown earth, which is brown earth formed on thick loess and marl, with a higher content of lime. Due to these conditions, which are characterised by a dry climate, and a relatively windy location, wines originating from these locations are juicy, markedly aromatic. The smell is gentle and savoury. Tasting them, you can feel the rougher nature of the country and its fresh fruitiness.
